Peter Ye began teaching at Palisades Charter HS in 2022. He received is B.A. in Music Education at UCLA, where he performed with various ensembles as a percussionist, studying with Theresa Dimond (LA Opera) and Gregory Goodall (LA Opera). He also performed as a conductor on multiple projects, recordings, and performances.

Peter is from Oak Park, CA, where he grew up playing piano, oboe, trombone, and percussion. In his free time, he enjoys playing music with his local church, cooking, and spending time outdoors.

Sean McDermott has been on the Pali Team for over 10 years.  He brings a unique vision to the Marching Band and Drumline shows that separate Pali from the pack by creating shows that are full of unexpected choreography and story telling.

Thomas Kato is a Pali Band alumni currently pursuing his B.A. in Music Education at UCLA. Thomas is an award-winning performer and educator, performing with groups including the Sacramento Mandarins and Concord Blue Devils as a Mellophone player.

Allison Wyant is a color guard instructor and performer based in Southern California. She has performed with elite marching arts groups such as Pacific Crest Drum & Bugle Corps, Diamante Independent World Winterguard, and Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps.

Having five years of high school teaching experience, she is currently on staff at local high schools Santa Monica and El Segundo, and will begin teaching at Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps this summer.

Allison received an AS in Fashion Design from Santa Monica College and will be continuing her education at CSULB in the fall.

Ceasar Avina is a director at Ocean View High School and Paramount High School, his alma mater. He has performed with the winter guards Infinity Winterguard and Diamante Independent World Winterguard, as well as Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps. He will march his final season this summer at Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps.

Ceasar received a certificate from CSULB for cyber security and will begin pursuing an AS from LACC as well.

Michael Schlotter is a music and marching arts educator and designer based in Southern California specializing in the areas of percussion and marching styles and technique. He is an in-demand clinician, consultant, composer and arranger for numerous marching and indoor ensembles. Michael also regularly performs as a professional percussionist for several notable ensembles as well as being an on-call recording artist for several studios. His enjoyment and continued success as an educator, designer, and performer stem from his ability and passion to propel each member, staff and ensemble he works with to higher levels of achievement, appreciation, and joy in creating and performing music and live art.

 

Michael holds a BM in Percussion Performance from the Conservatory of Music at Wheaton College, IL.

Will Fisher is a marching percussion educator who began teaching at Pali during the 2022 winter season and is excited to continue being a part of the team. He attended El Segundo High School where his marching career began and now teaches there as a percussion co-caption head. After high school Will went on to march with Pacific Crest Drum & Bugle Corps, Dark Sky Percussion, and Blue Devils B Drum & Bugle Corps. Outside of music Will is currently attending Loyola Marymount University pursuing a degree in mathematics.

Kevin Tran studied at UCLA under the direction of Raynor Carroll, former principal percussionist of the LA Phil, and Theresa Dimond, principal percussionist of the LA Opera, where he received his BA in Music Performance.  He has had the privilege to receive instruction from many notable musicians such as Nancy Zeltsman, Jack Van Geem, Ivana Bilic, Nanae Mimura, and many more. In recent years, Tran has worked with many schools and organizations throughout Southern California and Northern Alabama.

 

Currently he is an active performer, composer, and educator. He has performed with the UCLA Philharmonia, Wind Ensemble, Symphony, and Percussion Ensemble, as well as in a number of ensembles during festivals. During his marching career, he performed with Hanford High School from 2009- 2013, and Blue Devils “B” in 2011 (Open Class World Champion) & 2012. Kevin, as a soloist, has received recognition for his performances, and has won competitions such as the UCLA All-Star Concerto competition with marimba. He is working on many new projects with solo vibraphone, marimba, and composing classical & contemporary percussion literature. Tran is currently signed with Innovative Percussion Inc. as an artist & percussion educator.

Ellen Shinogle is an international award-winning musician and educator who has become distinguished in her field as a dynamic performer of exceptional artistry. She can frequently be heard performing in multiple productions at the Disneyland Resort, films, and in television shows, such as Jimmy Kimmel Live! Ellen is currently a Doctor of Musical Arts Candidate at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Music, studying with Jens Lindemann.

Rose Doylemason is a freelance trombonist hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area and residing in Los Angeles. A versatile musician and a lover of all music styles, Rose specializes in orchestral and solo bass trombone performance, preferring eclectic and under-performed solo literature. She enjoys teaching marching bands and wind bands, and provides brass lessons to students of all ages across Los Angeles. Having cultivated a love of musicology and music history in school, Rose assists several orchestras in writing program notes and proofing promotional literature. Rose performs with a variety of groups across California, including the San Luis Obispo Symphony, San Luis Obispo Wind Orchestra, OperaSLO Grand Orchestra, Santa Maria Philharmonic, the Santa Monica Symphony, Lompoc Pops Orchestra, Los Angeles Doctor's Symphony Orchestra, and Burbank Chamber Orchestra, and across the country, with the Bozeman Symphony Orchestra. Rose was a featured soloist at the 2018 Roy Main Brass Festival and participates often in international brass festivals and competitions.
