INSTRUCTIONS TO SIGN UP FOR BAND

for incoming 9th graders.

Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Drumline, or Color Guard:

 On the last page of the course requests form ("Electives"), write in ALL ensembles you are interested in:

• Marching Band

• Wind Ensemble (if you auditioned),

• Symphonic Band

• Drumline

• Color Guard​

​For example, if a student wants to enroll in Marching Band, Symphonic Band, and Color Guard, put "Marching Band, Symphonic Band, and Color Guard" in the form.

Can band fit into my 4-year plan?

Yes! Especially if your student chooses to participate in marching band, band can fit into your high school experience. Check out the sample 4-year plans below, including a "With Marching Band" and "Without Marching Band" route.

Practices: July 2, 3 (10:00AM–1:00PM)

Parade: July 4

Band Camp Dates:

July 30: Leadership Brunch (9AM–1PM)​

July 31: Leadership/Rookie Day (9AM–1PM)

August 1: FULL Band Camp Kick-off (9AM–1PM)

August 4-8: Band Camp (8:30AM–6:30PM)

Season Practices:

Season ends the week before Thanksgiving Break.

Monday 4:15–6:00PM

Wednesday 5:00PM–8:00PM

Friday 5:00PM–9:00PM (except for football games)
